I think we finally found the best timing option. Everyone paired up, and we ran two heats using the buddy system to count laps and keep time. The only disadvantage was no practice with drafting and entanglements that will undoubtedly be encountered on race day.

Here’s how it shook out:

1. Reed Keen 10:12 (1:16/100)
2. Luke Keen 10:39 (1:19/100)
3. Jeff Howells 11:32 (1:26/100)
4. Eli Cooper 12:47 (1:35/100)
5. Angel Martin 13:02 (1:37/100)
6. Jonathan Gunther 13:17 (1:39/100)
7. Brian Simmons 13:45 (1:43/100)
8. Ashley Ard 13:53 (1:44/100)
9. Justin Turner 14:13 (1:46/100)
10. BE Smith 14:24 (1:48/100)
11. Sandy Triplett 16:19 (2:02/100)
12. Nichole Nuccio 17:06 (2:08/100)
13. Patrick Keen 17:19 (2:09/100)

Thanks to Patrick Keen for taking over the timing sheet for Heat 2, so I could swim.
