The club organizes and directs the Sunrise Triathlon Series, a favorite annual proving grounds among new and seasoned triathletes. As this four-race series progresses from tri #1 to tri #4, each event gets gradually more difficult (e.g. longer distances, hotter weather, more challenging courses, etc.), allowing participants to build their endurance, skills, and confidence into the triathlon season. The tri series originated as a single race in 1995 but was soon expanded to three races. In 2016, a fourth race, staged at the El Karubah Shrine on Cross Lake and including an open water swim, was added to the series. Through 2016, Sunrise Triathlon #1, #2, and #3 were held at the Town South Swim Club, a beloved venue by all for its shallow pool swims and friendly neighborhood courses. In 2017, the first three races of the series moved to the newly-constructed YMCA, which offers a state-of-the-art 50-meter pool and a closed bike course.
